Make no mistake. Dooley is a Sabanite. In every sense of the word. And that comes from someone I know who was on Dooley's staff.

I think Dooley will find a place to do well enough to eventually be successful at the right program.

That program's just not Tennessee. It maybe could of been, but the timing was wrong. He was more than sabotaged, and should have recognized that. He's still prone to making mistakes, but not the kind he made when calling present staff at Miami to inquire about their personnel, because he was taking over that position.

Y'all say what you want, but if les ever leaves I want Dooley. He is an absolute genius (IQ) and football coaching runs in his blood. I hope that Tennessee gives him a couple years to turn around lane kiffins debacle. I've always admired him. He was AD at tech while also head coach. If his coaching doesn't work out, don't be surprised when he is AD at a big time school, possibly even LSU when alleva is gone.

i completely disagree. the man walked into a situation where the deck was stacked against him.............

1) fulmers recruits were not that good
2) kiffins recruits were jumping ship or jailed or kicked off team
3) ncaa after ut's arse in both bball and football
4) of what was left, his injury situation among his best remaining players was awful

the man really has got the team playing tough considering he is outmanned by most good teams. when he gets thru this tough period i think you and others will change your tune about him. recruiting at ut has always been tough because their hi-school football is really not very good but i think he'll turn it around with out of state guys.

Dooley needs 3 years to get it turned around, so this is his second year, next year might be better when his red shirt recruits learns his system.

Remember he had La Tech, FRIGGING LA TEACH playing us tough. Remember that touch down when the QB acted like he wasn't ready yet and the ball snapped? caught our defense napping and that was on a Chavis defense!

Dooley is and has been and will be an excellent coach. He gets with the right program, he will be a top tier coach. And he COULD do that at Tennessee. Going to depend on if they have the patience to let him do it.

Remember we had to have some patience a few years with Les.

Championships don't happen overnight.

That said, I think he belongs at Georgia.

I understand all that but what matters is winning and Dooley isn't. Here's the rest of UTs schedule:

Oct. 15 LSU
Oct. 22 at Alabama
Oct. 29 South Carolina
Nov. 5 Middle Tenn.
Nov. 12 at Arkansas
Nov. 19 Vanderbilt
Nov. 26 at Kentucky

UT is 3-2(0-2 in the SEC), now how many more wins do you see them getting this year? 1 maybe 2. The LSU, Bama, USC, and Arky games are gonna be REAL ugly for UT. The fans and AD aren't gonna put up with getting embarrassed very much longer. Dooley better hope and pray that Bray and his 2 star WRs can win him some games next year or he's gone.

They'll murder Kentucky. Middle Tennessee shouldn't be bad, but i dont know much about them. Vandy has a good defense, but that's it. They should win that one.

USCe and Arky could easily slip up to Tennessee. Wouldn't be surprised to see one of them stumble to tennessee at all.

Without Bray they aren't coming close to Arkansas or S. Carolina. If he misses the rest of the regular season they could drop every game outside of MTSU. UK sucks but they have quarter century losing streak to UT so they're going to bust their arse to end it.

That's not happening without Bray and Hunter. Tennessee is also in a world of hurt in the secondary without Janzen, who was the best player on the team.

If Dooley loses to UK or Vandy, he will be fired the next day.

MTSU, Kentucky, and Vandy.

MTSU is terrible.

UT could put their practice squad out against Kentucky and beat them by 10+ due to the mental block Kentucky has.

Vandy's a toss-up, but I don't think UT could live with the embarrassment of letting Vandy beat them in Knoxville.

Bray should be back by Vandy and UK. Those games are easy wins with Bray.

UT has only won by 8 total points the last two games in Lexington. Joker is quickly approaching the hotseat himself, beating UT would overshadow their terrible season.

And Kentucky had Cobb. This Kentucky team is poor by even Kentucky standards.

And has about as much chance of happening as me being named King of Zimbabwe tomorrow.
