That’s not how it works. You only get 25 counters for each recruiting class. We have filled our allotment for this year. If someone leaves the program, you don’t get any counters back.

That said, you also get 85 scholarship spots each year. In that regard, we are down one, now. But you can only fill that scholarship by offering it to someone else already on your roster for a year who was not previously on scholarship, such as a preferred walk-on from previous years.

This needs to change along with all of the transfer rules that already have. If someone transfers out or leaves the program you should be allowed to fill that spot from the portal.

Counts against us—Kentucky gets Dare—Alabama gets an open scholly spot
