If he's running at 220 lbs, even as fast as he is, do you think an NFL team would be tempted to move him to safety?

Do you realize how rare a really really ridiculously good cover corner is?

Right now he is at LSU and as long he does what he needs to do where he plays at each week that is all that counts. Now what the pro's do with him that will be between him and them but, here at LSU he is our best LOCKDOWN corner that is what he will play.

Anything else? Talk about LSU here on this board otherwise go to the Saints Board or the More Sports Board to talk about your concerns not here.

There are 2 types of defenders that NFL defenses today are built around.

Either a dominant pass rusher or a shutdown corner.

PP is simply too valuable as a lock down cover man to move to safety full time.

the bigger a corner can get without losing much speed is a better corner.

No!

I am just sick and tired of these knotheads on this board spending all season on why we are not going to be competitive and then they want to come here 2 days before the season starts and say this and this about our players. They had all winter, spring, and summer to talk about this and that about the pro's. No, they want to knock our players and Coaches and then right here before the start of the season talk about them going to the pro's. This is not the pro's this i LSU Football and it is time to get PUMPED about this season not where so and so is going to play at the next level. He still has another season of eligability left and I want him here until he graduates or next year and we have used him to the fullest.

Corners can put on weight and be a saftey much easier than a saftey can put on speed and be a corner... Besides a lockdown corner is about as rare as any player

He'll definitely start out as a corner. However, I wouldn't be surprised if he moved to safety after 5 or 6 years. Really just a matter of how well his agility (hips) holds up with age.

He plays for LSU.... People talk about former players all the time on here... Holliday an Henderson are examples.. Since you are the board police what do you approve we talk about on here... Who can't play for the UNC game? Our QB problem? Oline?

What the frick is your problem? How is asking what he is going to do at the next level knocking him at all?

And stop with the two days before the season bullshite too. People can talk about whatever they want whenever they want. Who cares if it's two days before the season?!? What has that got to do with my question? I'm talking about a current LSU player in the Tiger Rant, that is relevant enough, and if you aren't interested, don't fricking comment! Jesus Christ, the people on this board sometimes!

ETA:

By the way, here's the article that talks about his gain in size and the fact that he's a 220 lb freak of nature. Is this article okay? Perhaps you'd like to email the author and bitch at him for discussing something other than the game that's two days away!

We're all excited for the game, but it's a game, it's not the fricking anniversary of 9/11! It's not some hallowed thing that need bring out the board police to determine what people can talk about! Especially when it's NOT NEGATIVE IN ANY WAY, frickstick!

Peterson article

Yea I think he'll have a career like Rod Woodson. He'll start out as a dominant CB and then as he gets older and loses a step (it happens to everyone, no knock on PP) he'll move to S and be a stud there. I'd love to see him in a defense like Green Bay and what they do with Charles Woodson moving him all over the place.

He could put on 20 lbs and become the fastest MLB in the history of football.
