Based purely on the numbers, I think you'd be hard pressed to find another school with more transfers or early departures

bullshite. You want numbers, okay.

In the 2013 through 2016 signing classes (this season's true freshmen through true seniors):

Please note for the sake of this illustration I have not attempted to track 5th year seniors.

LSU signed 97 players
Alabama signed 97 players
Ole Miss signed 99 players
Auburn signed 100 players
Florida signed 97 players
Ohio State signed 104 players

Yet, each is limited to a roster of 85 maximum scholarship players. So all of these schools have had at least the same if not more attrition as LSU. These were the only six schools that I bothered to total. There is attrition everywhere, it is the nature of the game. You only see LSU's attrition since you follow the team closely. As an LSU fan IDGAF who transfers from Ohio State.

And the attrition for this year is not over yet -

LSU started Fall Camp 2016 with 85 scholarship players and lost 2 to attrition (Johnson and Brown). Leaving a total of 83 scholarship players.
LSU has 13 seniors this year who have exhausted their eligibility. Leaving 70 scholarship players. Two players with remaining eligibility have decided to transfer (Ferguson and Okeke). Total now is 68 scholarship players. Assuming Godchaux, Dupre, Fournette and Adams announce for the draft. LSU will have 64 scholarship players remaining. 85 - 64 = 21. If we sign a full 25 there will be 4 more players that will have to leave.
