Look, I am not advocating that he SHOULD be able to use this as a defense. I was asking if he CAN.
Lots of overreaction in this thread. Do you people realize how many stupid things happen all the time? How many people get off for crimes committed because of some kind of emotional distress? I could absolutely see this being a defense in this day and age.
Should it be? No. Would I be surprised if it was? No.
I am not advocating it, but I would not be surprised to see it.
