Orgeron say Etling is his starting quarterback. Won't change next year either.

I think he leaves because they never gave him a chance Not even in the ATM blowout Which is a shame really New coach should mean open competition and spread

He's not good. Is it a shame backups in other positions didn't play? This isn't rec league football not every gets to play.

Coach O will not be risking his dream job chance on Harris. Harris had much more of a chance than most kids ever get, and he did not make the most of it.

The future is a combination of Etling, Tiger Bowl superman Lindsey Scott, and incoming stud Myles Brennan.

Generally a spread offense requires quick reads and accurate throws to moving targets right?

I guess it depends on what kind of spread attack you run

That sucks so much

O seems as stubborn as Miles

I swear this is Miles all over again

Should let the OC decide since he is no guru of offense or defense

I say DE is the QB next year and Brennan will follow

"I do believe that nowadays that you have to run the spread offense, you have to have dual-threat quarterbacks that can run the ball and throw it," Orgeron said. "But you have to have somebody that knows how to run it. We still want to be a physical football team."

Harris will stay. Harris will start. Etling/ Brennan are not the best options in a spread offense. Harris gives way to Narcisse / Scott.

Why would he stay? He has a QB in front of him on the depth chart that will graduate the same year as him. It's not like Harris can be the starter when Etling's gone. Harris will transfer to a place where he can start right away, probably using the grad school rule. He'll graduate in the spring and then transfer to an FBS school that has a graduate program LSU lacks.

what say the rant

If he doesn't have accuracy, pocket presence, touch on his passes, ability to read a defense and go through progressions, it doesn't matter what scheme he plays in. You have to be able to do those things to a degree to be successful, and he has not in three years.
