Do you think they tell players not to discuss their NIL deals with either each other?

Like the corporate world?
Can’t imagine how they keep a locker room together with some making so much and others making so little.
At Georgia they were saying the starting linemen would buy the walk-ons food (they only got one of the three meals a day free) for the year…that’s pretty cool.
Guessing the higher paid players are cool enough to not put it in the faces of those that aren’t.

I don’t have a ton to back this up but I find that hard to believe

That walk-ons only get 1 of 3 meals a day free? What they said at the recruiting visit.

Depends on the terms of the contract. Some may contain non-disclosure clauses regarding dollar amounts and other benefits received.

Yeah I doubt they’re all that cool

IDK, I’ve never seen a contract. Hopefully, if they do, the agent explains that clearly.

Generations are different. People discuss comp in the corporate world way more than 15-20yrs ago. I’ll let you figure out which generations I’m talking about.

Oh I forgot you’re the one who likes to talk about how his son plays college football. When did he visit Georgia?

You said you’ve never seen a NIL contract. Does your son get NIL money? Also isn’t your son currently on the Florida football team? Wouldn’t he know if the walk ons only get one meal a day or if the team discusses their NIL deals?

Yea, but he has an agent. That business is between them.

We bring him this weekend, reports at 1:00 on Sunday.
He’ll definitely be in the room with the most walk ons, which I’m sure causes enough strife…but IDK what they’ll discuss.

Interesting. That sounds like not a great idea, but that’s between y’all.

Nice. I’m sure he’ll be able to answer a lot of your questions. I know LSU has a massive dining hall that all athletes are able to use. I know trainers get multiple meals per day. Maybe it’s different from walk ons.

That’s cool, didn’t know if the football players ate alone. At Georgia it’s only football players in the Ops building. At UF all the scholarship athletes eat in the football Ops building.
Parents should never be a part of those negotiations…I would have told them to go frick themselves…I didn’t even talk to his agent. These will be some funny arse paychecks he gets this year <$50/month.
My son doesn’t give one shite that others make much more, but in different position rooms I could see it being an issue.

Idk if I would say that, but that’s a conversation for another time

We’re just naturally too emotional. Really though, there’s no negotiation…it’s not even about market value…just simply what they’re willing to pay you.

You can tell em. But folks love to measure dicks at that age
