One of my best friends absolutely hates him and thinks he is a horrible coach. I've tried to make him see the light but he won't.

Im not sure if there is another coach that could go undefeated all the way to the ncg with jordan jefferson as qb.I really like Miles and proud he is our coach.

IMO, that speaks VOLUMES about his positive traits and his negative traits.
If he were just a decent recruiter and that was it, LSU wouldn't have so many NFL prospects.
I find it hilarious that people expect perfection out of football coaches when it will NEVER happen. EVER. Saban has flaws as well. Like someone else said earlier, it's just that they have flaws in different categories.

Conversely, AU has had several top 5 classes and absolutley suck.

Bama has had like 3 number 1 recruiting classes in 4 years. But les beat him 2 years in a row with the worst qb I have ever seen at lsu.

I'm not saying I know every college football fan, but EVERY one that I've met that says "les miles sucks/larry coker" is an passing fan and really doesn't follow football. I win every arguement with these fans because they're ignorant. I'm not saying they're stupid just misinformed and lack proper football knowledge. I'd say 50% of our fanbase has still a hard on for Saban.

Same here. I have a friend who totally thinks Miles is an idiot and thinks we win in spite of him. He also complained after the N. Texas game and on other occasions about "the product that we put on the field".
I have learned just to not talk LSU football with him anymore.

Great recruiter. Very good coach. Makes bad decisions sometimes, like everyone does. Seldomly makes decisions that make me consider suicide.

You say two examples as if they were small errors. They are both unforgivably stupid IMO. And it isn't just two errors, those are just the most egregious. You also have 07 Auburn, end of half vs '10 Arkansas, 1/9/12, insisting on sticking with Jefferson.
