Blue seems to have the best vision of the backs. He is missed, but we are good.

Spencer Ware hurts people.
Spencer Ware pushes the pile frwd.
DB's dont want to tackle Spencer Ware.
Spence Ware blows people up in the backfield blocking.
Spence Ware makes KH and MF job easier.

Ahh..

Ware was great at times.., but Blue still brings a different aspect to the table. Especially the ability to break one in the open field. Yes Ford has outside speed, but they don't really run him between the tackles. Yes Ware runs well and punishes the opponents.. but I definitely miss Blue for the elements he brings.. I hope to see him back soon this season. He emerged as the starter for a reason. Yes LSU has RB depth and Hilliard is my favorite back just personally, but Blue is the back I'd least like to lose among them all.

Somewhat. But with the RB stable you really never know who shows up big time. I expect Hill to light it up against Crabcake U. He's the horse of the future. Of course, I said the same thing about Richard Murphy in the past. So what the hell do I know.

yes they missed him, Blue is our complete back. He can do it all, run between tackles, outside tackles, he can pass block, and catch the football when needed too.

Its a great thing though to know were loaded at that position.

Yes mostly in pass blocking. Blue is probably the best all around back we have. The best runner we have is Ford( better speed and vision). Spencer ware is really not that great, Hilliard is the better of "power" backs.

I think we did. He and Ware would have made a better combo to take the majority of the snaps in that game. Like Ware, Blue is also good in pass protection, but he has more open field speed. That's one thing that some of our other backs lack. Blue and Ware are the most complete of the group, so if backs are going to play a bigger role in pass protection, we really need him healthy and soon.

Maybe a little, but I think it had I do more w/ Auburn stacking 8/9 in the box & daring Mett to beat them. The blueprint is out. Until we hit a few long passes down the field, defenses will continue to simply outman us in the box.

Agreed, Bama laid that blueprint in NCG and its up to us to change that philosophy. God help any defense including BAMA once we do.

Without a doubt. Hilliard is a stud, dont get me wrong, but everyone knows when he goes in the game its a power run. Blue was the guy that could run between the tackles for 6 yards, then line up in shotgun and be motioned out to WR. Without Blue, we are 1 of the most predictable offenses in the game.

This

You could have Emmitt Smith back there and we weren't going to rush for 300.
