do recruits get affected by the booing?

there were about 100 h.s. recruits sitting next to the student section.
how does the lsu fanbase booing the team and/or the coaches affect their choice of attending lsu.
do the fans really want to affect the future recruiting classes with their negative attitude?

I hope none of them were offensive recruits

It can go both ways depending on the players personality. If you have a guy that is shitting him self over someone else getting booed then he probably can't handle the pressure of a big game anyway, or he is offended by the fan base. But at the same time just about every school booes. But on the other hand most players are cocky enough that they think they are good enough to never get booed in the first place.

Yes it negatively affects recruiting. These are the same fans that probably lead the nation in DUI's. Also the same fans that bring a ton of crap to a tailgate, and don't know what to do with the waste at the end so they leave it all over the campus. In other words, the word "future" means nothing to them, what has to be dealt with later doesn't matter, cause now is now.

I would love to know how you know this. Were you a big time recruit in high school.
I'd think any competitor would understand the booing of such an abysmal offensive display, but I'd have no way of knowing.

Our fan base has gotten worse since 2006.

Why would LSU want a recruit that is affected by booing? The booing shows that LSU and its fanbase will not tolerate God awful play. Those recruits should either find a school that will love them no matter how much they screw up or have the mindset that "I'ma come here and make this booing stop."

Booing is terrible. No matter how crappy JJ was playing the kid should not be treated like that. You want to boo the culprit gather outside TJ Ribs on Wednesday night and "let r rip"

No kid is going to want to go to a school where they boo the players after a bad performance. Players, fans, recruits can't tell who you are booing.

So basically you're saying the kind of recruits we are looking for giant pussies?
I highly doubt it. Could we lose some? Sure, but you don't know that, just like I don't. And fyi, I didn't boo.

You don't have a say in the matter. LSU gets the recruits that commit. No kid is going to go to a school where he is booed upon making a mistake.

I do know. Booing negatively affects recruits attitides about the prospective school.

If that player is watching the game and can't tell who they are booing then apparently they do not have a firm grasp on the game of football. So then most likely we would be better off without them.
I am not saying that I support the booing of players, or coaches. But I am not saying that at the same time that I disagree with it. I can't say that I wasn't upset with the decision Miles made at the end of the game to put JJ back in because I was. I did not boo though. I did mutter you have to be f'ing kidding me to my buddy but that was about all. I feel that a true player would take that with a grain of salt and use it to better himself in the long run. Though it may not be the right thing to do it happens everywhere, and if the recruit wants to play for this caliber of school he has to understand that there is a possibility of some fans having a strong distaste for a poor performance.
