Could it have ANYTHING at all to do with ball control? If we keep it out of the opponent's hands, it's kinda hard for them to score against us, no? It also gives our awesome defense a rest so they're not trying to defend while exhausted. This contributes greatly to their awesomeness.

Sounds like excuses.

I'll take lesser stats that produced wins over ranked teams at the beginning of the season. You know, the sort of run that put LSU in the driver's seat in the first place.

Certainly level of competition should be considered, but if it's merely poor competition, wouldn't Lee have posted tremendous numbers against Kentucky?

from a statistical perspective, though, the decision to play Jefferson over Lee (last year and this year) makes little sense to me.
I disagree, but your view is completely valid. We can both reasonably come to different conclusions on who is the better QB. What is not reasonable and not valid, though, is to assume some sort of bizarre, inexplicable favortism Les has for JJ over Lee rather than the simple conclusion that he just thinks he's better.

LSU plays Arkansas, most likely UGA and someone decent in the NCG or a bowl game in the weeks to come. The QB position my become important, until now it really hasn't been.
Miles will do the right thing hopefully. All that matters is winning. Only three games to go. If JJ struggles, hopefully he will get pulled for someone who can produce. Miles has shown the willingness to do it this year when he had a difficult time with it last year.

As well as the QB coach and OC. I'm sure they get a little input.

You seem to interpret what I say as a slight to Lee. Im happy as hell for what Lee did for the team. I just think the doomsday and chicken little stuff people keep crying about with JJ is unwarranted. Especially considering his play this year.

I'll be at the game, so I'll be on my best behavior.

Have you tried getting a signal there during the game? When I'm there, the last thing I think about is the Rant.

As far as a coach he is only as good as his staff.
Yeah, that must be why the staff comes and goes, but the winning just keeps coming and coming and coming to the tune of 73-17 with the most wins in BCS football since 2005, huh.

That actually crossed my mind last week. I have a sickness, I can't quit on my own. And this place is dysfunctional on it's best day

Something that's bounced around in my head, but it's interesting that JJ beat Lee out three years in a row in QB competitions. But again, he's somehow worse.
In 2010, do you really think JJ beat out Lee in practice? If he was throwing it into the ground vs Vanderbilt and Tennessee, he sure wasn't completing passes on the LSU D at practice.
(This has nothing to do with 2011 Lee/Jefferson, but it's interesting that after watching the games last year that anyone can still think Jefferson truly won the QB competition.)

That's where you are wrong. I ultimately care whether or not LSU wins. I just believe a JL-led offense has enough of a resume this season to justify him starting over JJ.
I actually liked the thought of you having an affinity for JL better. Here you are saying that you know more than the coach, or that the coach knows the same thing you do, and is willing to risk a championship to play a favored player over a better one.
