Bolden was told he would play LB at LSU and he wanted to stay at RB. I read this in a Memphis paper.

And he's probably not worse than any of them except for Scott. He ran in the high 4.4 at the Scout combine, so he's not slow at all. You can see that on the TD run he had that was called back by penalty. Kid is a good player.

quote:

I would rather have him that Murphy

Where do you get off making this kind of statement? Murphy has been behind two very good backs along with us wanting to get Trindon carries bc of his big play ability. He has had very limited opportunities and its not like he sucks when he gets his touches. The kid has shown his ability in the spring games and will be a very very good player with more touches.

You have every right to covet another player like Bolden but dont do it at the expense of Murphy with no support for your statement

Rishaw visited LSU before NSD on one of the big recruiting weekends for the class of 2007. He is friends with Chad Jones, and Chad gave him the best pitch to come to LSU. However, Bruce Feldman said that Rishaw's family wanted him to keep his word to Ole Miss, and he was very comfortable with Coach O, and he decided to stay with them. I can't blame him for that decision.

LSU was a little late to get him, but I think he was displaced after Katrina, so it's understandable how LSU may have lost track of him while they put together a top 5 class. However, you have to give props to Frank Wilson and Coach O for discovering him before he was a big name player.

Rishaw's stepfather survived the accident, but lost both of his legs. His younger brother died in the accident, but Rishaw escaped with just a broken leg which healed within a few months. After all, he was just a little kid then. It's great to see him succeed at this point.
