A defense that still struggles with gap control, assignments, motivation and over pursuing 10 games into the season has some major issues. Both in personnel and coaching.

They do make mediocre teams look good.

Yeah something is very wrong. Never thought I would see an LSU defense be this bad.

Orgeron needs to take it over starting today. Aranda can go play with his money that he is stealing from LSU.

Last night was all Aranda's fault. He should have prepared the defense to face a triple-option football team as he did against Georgia Southern. Cause in essence that is what Plumlee and his two running backs are, a triple-option football team. LSU was not disciplined and out of position the entire football game and thus they got repeatedly gashed for a ton of big plays.

It doesn't matter cause LSU isn't going to face another team like Ole Miss for the remainder of the season. As Ole Miss, last night, in essence, was a triple-option football team a lot like Georgian Southern. As Aranda had the defense prepared to stop Georgia Southern's triple-option but he sure in the hell didn't get the defense prepared to stop Ole Miss last night. As Plumlee and his two running backs, in essence, were a triple-option football team.

Lately, every time it seems we are about to put the game away, we let them score and keep it close, but we never let them take the lead.

Wouldn't it be nice if this was a ballsy scheme to lull everyone into thinking that our defense is weak when in reality, we can shut down the other team whenever we want?

I know. Our defense really is that weak. I'm just wishing it wasn't true.

THIS. He had a halftime to make adjustments and couldn't get it right. He's making Chief and Pelini look like a goddamned geniuses.

Aranda has underperformed for every year he's been here. When will Coach O cut his losses and move on? This decline is not sustainable in the SEC and certainly not in the playoffs.
