Probably. I would like to see the defense clamp down when necessary. The Bama and Clemson games of last year still leave a bad taste. Until LSU is really tested, will not know what they are capable of doing.

Speckhead isn't trolling, sadly.

He's just always wrong.
Wrong here.
And wrong on my board, the Saints Talk board.

I think Auburn will be a decent test, just because of scheme.

UGA will be the best offense LSU plays all season. Better than TAMU.

If LSU's defense plays like that during conference play LSU maybe headed to the Independence Bowl in Shreveport LA.

I don't think UAB has a terrible offense, they have good running backs, decent receivers, and a QB who is average. I believe they can score points on anyone. Just my opinion.

Yeah, that's why UGA is going to be really tough. It will be a gigantic difference in offensive talent when we play them. But I also expect us to be jacked up. I'm just wondering how we're going to handle a physical runner like Gurley because that guy exploits soft spots. It will be interesting.

I think their QB has issues, but probably the most talented offense LSU will face to that point. May be a good confidence builder.

I don't know the first 4 sets of downs UAB had only 4 yards of offense. We started to get up big and the defense let off the gas a little, it happens don't think it is much to worry about. We will have a good test with Auburn, hurry up offense and Gus M. calling the plays. I think that game will give us a good idea where we stand.

Plus, we yielded no points in the second half.

Those kinds of adjustments only come from good coaching.

Auburn will be good for us because their offense makes you think and react fast.

Our D has played pretty well and it's natural to slow down some when you get up big. I just hope the talent UGA has on offense doesn't shock us compared to what we're playing now.

Gurley's been averaging about 30 carries a game. We can hope he's a bit worn down by that time. UGA can score points; their defense is nothing special, so it may be a shootout.

The OP has a point, albeit he makes it in a chicken-little way. Brick Haley himself said our D-linemen aren't as fast as we are used to having, and our back seven lack experience. They have some growing up to do, but our offense can carry them until then. How often have we been able to say that recently?

What does the amount of posts , have to do with anything? That's ridiculous .

The defense did struggle against an inferior team . And while I know the independence bowl isn't where we will most likely end up , we better figure out how to stop teams . Georgia and A&M with score at. Will if we continue to play like that .

The offense looked really efficient , we have a lot of talent it's great to see. But we have to play D also .

All the upper echelon teams will progress with experience and so will the Tigers...but I do agree that the D needs to settle on the 3 LBs that can get the job done...let's have confidence that Chief sees what astute fans see...go Tigers!

Sounds like a great recruiting trip to get back some lost W.Monroe recruits.... ...but seriously, we'll be fine!

Last time we played them, we lost, IIRC. And we had the greatest coach of all time, ever, ever, as head coach.

So this isn't better?
