Whoever's fault it was, doesn't change the fact that OBJ needs to maintain his composure on the field. DBs know now that if you pepper him enough you can get under his skin.

Good thing I haven’t tried to justify OBJ. I just don't see how his actions in retaliation (I'm gonna assume you understand the meaning of that word) justifies Norman's actions??

Can you answer that, kid?

Deion Sanders says that Norman called Odell a "fa**ot", carried around a baseball bat pregame and told him he was "gonna end his career".

Guess thats something he should of ignored . What I can't understand is the amount of people here defending hate because it's Football and trash talk is OK .

All this means is that Odell Beckham is the easiest football player in the world to get into his head. If I'm anyone in the future going against him I'm talking shite non-stop. Saying you're going to end someone's career is one thing, but Norman or no one else did anything to back that up. Odell on the other hand attempted a vicious and careless blindsight hit to the head/neck area of a player that actually could have ended his career.

Actions speak louder than words baw.

" The disturbing thing is the influence these players have on young kids. I caught a 4th grader shoving several kids in school today. I asked, "What are you doing?" He replied, "I'm just showing them what Beckham did yesterday."

If it was away from the play, why did OBJ run up and engage him, putting his hands under his face mask?

Its like you clowns never watch a football game before. That shite happens all the time.

You're embarrassing yourself even trying to take up for Beckham. Who not only had 3 personal fouls in the game, but the helmet launch that should end his season.

MessageMore&LesDefending OdellI've seen a lot of righteous indignation pointed toward OBJ and I'll admit that the helmet to helmet went too far. I also acknowledge that OBJ lost his cool and went too far in his retaliation. That being said, Norman started it and was no innocent by-stander. Norman took cheap shots, including a totally uncalled for body slam away from and after the play right in front of a ref that should have gotten Norman ejected.

Maintain his composure? This wasn't some little trash talking that made him lose his shite. Before the game even started, during a heated argument, someone walked up to him and got in his face holding a baseball bat. Then when the game starts, he gets body slammed. He was getting cheap shots on tackles. At some point you have to defend yourself.

Frankly, I would have never made it to the game because if someone had the nerve to walk up to me holding a baseball bat during a heated argument, I would start swinging my helmet at his head. I have no idea what that person's intentions are, and he wasn't even dressed out for the game.

By the way, that guy that got in Beckham's face with that bat kills all Panthers fans argument about how they have the bat every game, not just for OBJ. If you carry that thing with you on the field to confront someone during a heated argument, your little tradition excuse goes out the window. I don't remember Reggie Bush using the bat that way when he did the same thing with the Saints.

So you didn't see the body slam and cheap shots from Norman then? Not career ending shots, but it all adds up with the overall theme of what Panthers were doing. Again, this wasn't just about trash talk getting in his head. The trash talk was just the start of everything that followed. Why are you completely overlooking everything Norman did?

He was looking for Cam. Seems he had misplaced his football-bat.

Since the NFL just fined Norman 26k, my guess is they didn't think he is completely innocent in this whole thing. So your statement that Norman didn't do anything to back up the threats isn't exactly supported by the facts.
