we desperately need a new DC.

Its hurting the program and just starting to impact recruiting.

Malleveto has to go at the end of the season regardless.

i just figure miles is a offensive guy. even with our current QB situation were still one of the best offences in the SEC. our D is our weakest point. miles needs a solid DC so he wont have to worry about it.

So what you are saying is that we played a crappy game vs bama....and also georgia needs a new DC for giving up large amounts to FLA and ALA...last i checked, our defense only gave up 14 points in reg, 7 of which were on a short field after an interception...dont blame the DC's, have you ever thought of it might be a lack of execution by young new starters on d?

You mean Fulmer? He's all offense.

Bowden?

Bowden is going to head coach somewhere else. He's also an offensive guy.

Willingham is intriguing. He was an offensive player who was a position coach/special teams coach, and did, for a time, coach DBs. However, he was primarily a RB position coach and never coordinated before being elevated to head coach at Stanford.

No, the defense played versus Alabama. The players had a team meeting to put away all the differences they are having with the coaching scheme.

However we got arse raped vs FL and GA

Miss St. offense had their way with us.

Auburn well its auburn we got handled pretty good in comparison to what other defensive teams did to their offense.

I really believe that he will stick with the "co" crap for one more season. He keeps insisting that the scheme is right but the players are not executing.

So do I, unless we lose to OM and R-Kansas and the defense gives up a lot of points. If that happens he'll get too much heat from the higher ups and from fans/alumni. He'll have to make a change then or he'll just come across as a stubborn closed minded Gerry DiNardo type coach that wont admit he's made a mistake........

So should LSU fans hope that the defense plays poorly (but LSU still wins) so Les hires a DC? Sounds good to me.

I think we should go after John Chavis at Tennessee. He won't have a job in the fall and Tennessee always has a good defense.

As long as he promises to ditch that soft zone crap with the DBs. Other than that, I like him as a DC. He's still relatively young and coaches a solid defense.
