yes before lasik

that lasik surgery is one of the most overrated things in LSU history, considering he still dropped the easy balls as a senior. he didn't really improve that much. we just passed it more and jimbo was more confident in JR to throw

...outside of Auburn

I haven't seen Byrd drop anything

He is fastest than Bowe...not as physical..

Byrd will be special this year, IF, we can get him the ball down feild..

easily a 1st rounder talent wise

Now that we have two young stud WRs--one Toliver and one Tolliver, it is very important for ranters to know how to spell.

Yep this will cause a lotta confusion for the next few seasons ... maybe get in the habit of adding the first initial TToliver or CTolliver would be easiest ... or if you can remember, the 1st Toliver recruited was 1 L , the 2nd Tolliver 2 L's.

A better comparison would be Lafell/Bowe
Agree. Bowe/LaFell are possession recievers... Byrd is a burner, big play guy.

Slo, you are usually pretty accurate on things... but your way off on the dropped passes discussion. let this one go.

bowe was a 1st round talent and would have been rookie of the year had possibly the best rookie in the NFL's history not been playing. bowe is much more advanced of a WR than byrd is at this point

Big drop against AU, but that's nitpicking, he won the freakin' game for us.

playing WR?

bowe didn't start playing football until he was like a junior in high school

i will almost guarantee you that byrd has more experience

i did not know that

that explains the lack of route running then

but bowe had 2 years in high school and was MUCH better as a route runner. light years a head as juniors

I want to clarify what i am saying also SLo. I agree Bowe when he left LSU was a more complete reciever than Byrd is at this point, no question. The thing I am saying is Byrd as of now does not drop passes to the degree Bowe did.

He had a major drop in the AU game and hat seems to be the only one anyone can remember vs. Bowe being the biggest topic in BR because of dropped passes. No comparison.

byrd can run 2 routes, and 1 of them is a go

bowe could run every route in the book and could get open at will. if byrd can't use his speed, he's ineffective

bowe got shite on about 100 times more than he deserved

it is comical that people flipped out when i said bowe > clayton in 2006

people love to hate on bowe almost as much as people love to hate on JR. i never understood it
