Unfortunately,Curley was the coach all four years i attended LSU as an undergrad.Jay Johnson was kicked off of the team after being arrested for theft.Sadly he was the best RB of the five.He had several solid games and had worked himself into the starting position prior to being arrested. He transferred to Grambling and played a year or so before getting kicked of the team.Robert Davis started his career with a great game in tiger stadium against texas AandM.It went downhill from there. It seemed as if he got slower and smaller as his career progressed. He left after two years and finished at UAB.Artie Moore took 3-4 handoffs as a slot back his freshman year, then promptly transferred to Ole Miss.Butler and Toomer played their entire careers at LSU .Butler showed promise as a KR and DB--problem was that he was not the sharpest tool in the shed.Toomer played hard all 4 years. He played RB and FB.Curley would have kept his job if he had let Toomer run the ball in the fourth quarter against Auburn in 94(as opposed to repeatedly throwing the ball).Toomer had a solid game that day.Curley was an idiot. He could recruit--no question about it,but he was way over his head in the SEC.Sadly,he is a shell ofhimself today--too much sauce.
