Can we just get somebody that can help our QBs understand what is going down on the field?

This is why I think we see Gonzales become the OC and we hire a QB coach.

Let's see. We already have a guy that people think is nuts, talks funny, dresses funny and looks goofy. So you want to trade that for Leach.

We need someone that can come in and match the Identity of the remaining staff. Since we dont know if there will be changes or not it would be hard to speculate.

What I have been saying the problem was with the offense was that there are too many philosophys between the offensive staff.

Les Miles Pro Style with some gimmicks
Gary Crowton Pistol/Spread
Billy Gonzales Spread/zone read
Greg Stud spread/ zone read
Frank Wilson not sure but I believe its more traditional Pro style (let me know if Im wrong)
Steve Ens. Pro style

We need to pick an Identity and stay with it. If I had to choose I would pick a pro style OC to match our head coach that specializes in QB development and play calling. The offensive line coach coming back over from Georgia (he will probably be retained by next staff why wouldn't he) and keep billy g, frank, and Steve. Just what I would like to see.

Why does everyone ignore the obvious answer. Mark Mangino. His style fits perfectly with what we have on hand. It worked at OU and Kansas, it will work here. Okay, so we have to reinforce the Press Box. Big Deal.

Al Borges did a pretty good job with Jason Campbell in 2004 and he runs a pro style offense.

The defense will be lights out next year, and if Borges can have the same affect on Lee that he had on Campbell, LSU could be a legit contender next year.

[quote]Isn't that Chip Kelly?

Serious question.

He is the OC at Oregon he calls all the plays and that is his offense.

He is the Head Coach at Oregon. He was the OC after Crowton left.

Legendary name for a college football coach. I wonder if he's descended from Dana X. Bible.

He is. Dana Bible actually coached here.

He is still the OC.

As the earlier poster said, he calls the plays and Oregon runs his offense.

Gary Danielson.....The guy recognizes formations, mismatches and just seems like he is always right. If not OC, create a position for him in the booth to aid both our coordinators and HC in recognizing mis-matches and time management.

Have you ever eaten a meal in Kansas?

It's terrible.

With our food, Mangino is dead in four hours.

Gary Crowton had great offenses that moved the ball all over the field at his old schools. Now he can't, that makes me wonder if he's even the one calling the plays. I think it's just Miles calling the plays out there.

Dear God, no. I want some stability with the program and I don't think I want that nut job near Baton Rouge. It's not worth the short-term offensive reward

I do not want Leach or Tubbyville near here at all. They do not treat their players and are only thuds themselves.

Tubbyville called for the chopblock on Glenn Dorsey and got his players in 1999 I think it was to light cigars at midfield of Tiger Stadium after the game and then Leach locks one of his players in a damn shed not no but hell no. No way I want anyone like this near My LSU Football Team!

No he didn't. He had a good offense for about one year and then they fell apart the same way they have the past couple of years at LSU
