THere is no certainty. I'm not basing this off purely highlight.
Loston is the better overall athlete, for one. He's also naturally better in coverage than Hatcher.
Don't get me wrong, Hatcher has his strengths and I think he should be on the field in the right places, but I'm not sure playing safety in this scheme is the way for him.

absolutely. hopefully he's the best safety ever to play at lsu. but high school highlights are what they are, high school highlights. secondary players and qbs need to be older, more developed, and game experience. same reason the qbs have been bad, (first year starters in the sec), and the same reason the pass defense was trash two years ago. (first year starting for jai and chris, PP was a freshman). now safety is a little different. you can learn that a little faster it seams like; also depends on how the coach uses him. we'll see. just as long as the better player in practice plays, we'll be fine.

i think there was talk of loston playing the position that harry coleman played.
i hope this doesnt happen...i think francois will play the lb spot and loston and hatcher/taylor will start at the other safety

I didn't say they did. I just said if he doesn't, the staff fricked up. If Karnell Hatcher starts over him we've really messed up.
I just need to get the process cleared up.

Les has not played the best players in the last 2 yrs. He has Coaches pets.

How in the hell can you say this when Loston has only played a couple of plays on special teams? College is an entirely different animal than highschool football.
I hope he becomes the best saftey to ever put pads on here at LSU but lets wait to crown him lord and savior until we see how the kid actually performs.
