After the way he looked in his last start in the regional, Cowan is NOT STARTING today. Johnson does not take the chance. He will pitch, but not start.

If he can locate his fastball and they trust him to throw it more often, he could have a great start. If they rely too much on the changeup, who knows?

I'd rather him start so we can pull him early if need be.

Needs a 3rd pitch, that he does not have at the moment.

Not to thread hijack, but I got to watch him pitch in Arlington this past Saturday, and he throws absolute SMOKE. Rangers caught up to it a few times, but I think Taylor will make an all-star game sooner than later. He is nasty.
