AR was lights out Wednesday, no question. Its common in baseball to send the pitcher out with the orders to "throw strikes and let your defense play behind you"!! Sure he got into trouble doing that but we were ahead the whole game. He definatly has better numbers in a one run game, no question!

we must have different definitions of "lights out"

Austin Ross was lights out (cept that 2nd inning)

AR1 had 3 great innings (3 up 3 down), 4 shitty innings, and another scoreless inning where he worked outta trouble

They were both lights out in different circumstances. A six run lead and your pitcher goes up there making the other team swing the bat and keep from putting runners on base. He played with a nice lead after the second and no need to pitch around anyone. Of course you will give up hits. Agree or disagree thats common college baseball coaching, not that I always agree with it.

Ranaudo wasn't lights out by any means plausible.

Great, then everyone is in agreement on this. I am old and must leave the Rant to you young men. I need some sleep so I can crack a frosty at 9:30.

I dont get it...I think half of the people on here who claim to be LSU fans only get on to make things as negative as possible and then hide behind the "I'm only being realistic" excuse. AR pitched a great game against a quality team. Give credit where credit is due and try not to be so negative all the time. What the hell were you expecting? A perfect game? A no hitter?? Its college baseball aginst the # 3 team in the Nation!!!

u certainly do not get it

all i said was he wasn't "lights out". giving up 6 runs is not lights out by any stretch of the imagination.

AR had 3 good innings (3 up 3 down), the rest he worked thru trouble and did a decent job of minimizing the damage.

meh, I'd say he pitched a decent game against a very good team.
