Its easy to put them back in. Currently have 5 BCS games (Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, Orange, Championship game)just add Cotton and rotate between 5 bowls instead of one hosting both their bowl and championship game.

What were the new years bowl ratings, besides the Rose? Anyone know?

Yes, I'm sure the Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, and Orange Bowls will welcome the Cotton Bowl with open arms and gladly go from hosting the NC game every four years to every five years. I don't see a problem with that at all.

Even easier. Expand to 5 BCS bowls, 2 are semifinals, then double-host the BCS CG a week + later.

And the Fox production quality was very good.

Now all they need is sportscasters who know what the frick they're talking about. The entire Fox broadcast crew was in the weeds all night long.

Actually the reason they went to the current BCS version was because the bowls want their traditional match ups way more than they want the championship game and resulting left over match ups.

Hell if the Rose thought they could keep Big 10(12)/Pac 10 (12) match up every year they would probably anoint the Cotton as the designated Championship game.

And the opportunity for each bowl to get an additional game (revenue stream) once every four years was just an unintended consequence, right?
