We’ll need them to break out - so far this is the weakest backfield we’ve had in recent memory.

We have the same dudes as last year basically except we replace Curry and Bradford with Goodwin and Kiner. Everyone else is a year older. Explain to me how this is even worse than last year?

I have a feeling the freshmen RBs are going to be better than the upperclassmen. I think they are going to rock.

LOL! WUT? It’s the deepest since LF/Guice where around. Remember 2018? Only had Brossette and CEH...... and Clyde wasn’t quite ready to breakout yet

I think Kiner and Goodwin will be what we expect TDP and Emery to be their FR year.

In recent memory? Look at last year. Literally the exact same guys just another year experience ,minus Bradford, add Kiner and Goodwin

2 guys that haven’t done much and 2 unknowns. It might end up being better than last year and I hope it does but that’s a pretty low bar from the standard we had at running back for the last 10-15 years prior.

I can amend my post to say “one of the weakest” instead of “the weakest” if that makes everyone feel better.

Emery just hasnt impressed me much. Tdp is the better back without question in my mind and has the potential to be the typical type of rb LSU is used to producing. Unless emery magigically turns it on or finds another gear somehow i see him probably transferring at the end of the season or maybe even before then as tdp solidifies himself as the dude and the freshman make names for themselves as well. Emery better wake up fast. Hes learning that being a 5 star player doesnt mean shite at LSU and hes getting beaten out by a back out of a 1A school in southern lab. Talent is individual. Where that talent happens to go to school and play ball is irrelevant.

Davis and Emery better show something soon or they should buy a ticket.
