Collins had his moments but faulk had it all: speed, hands, moves, and finally a brain. Collins lacked the last one i mentioned for sure.

Collins was an unbelievable freak, and was more talented than Faulk...PHYSICALLY. He was dumb as a rock though, and a brain is required to actually be great.

What is he doing now? Thought he would end up coaching.

Didn't Bellichek say something like he was the smartest football player he had coached? Or on a short list of them?

Coaching at Carencro

Kevin is easily still my favorite Tiger and made the Pats my 2nd favorite team for those 13 years!

thought he would get an entry level pro job?

He may not want it though. Maybe he has a wife and family he actually WANTS to see?

Literally the most important LSU player - from a program standpoint, in a generation - certainly since Charles Alexander, and probably since Bert Jones.

And he deserves to be mentioned with Y.A. Tittle, Jimmy Taylor, Billy Cannon, Jerry Stovall and Tommy Casanova as one of the greatest LSU players in history.

I've seen a lot of great players wearing purple and gold over the years. Faulk is among the best. I had the privilege of seeing the Houston game, and when he decided to come back for his senior year, he proved his dedication to LSU.

All eyes on 3 baby. Kevin Faulk made his commitment to LSU and never looked back. He was proud to be from Louisiana and knew the impact of his decision. Best SI cover is his see you later gator shot.
