I was so excited about the Independence Bowl Dinardo's first year- I actually went to it.

The team getting better and better under Saban and eventually kicking the crap out of everyone and winning the NC in 2003 was way more fun though.

Early DiNardo was fun but early Saban was better because there were titles at stake. And winning titles was relatively new since LSU went 13 years between SEC titles.

That's still a close second to Florida 2007 for me. I had a fantastic time at that game.

I was a Dinardo fan and all, but 2001-2005 was amazing. We won what, 3 games in ‘99 and lost to UAB in 2000, but getting big name recruits like Spears, Clayton, Wilkerson and Toefield and going to the Sugar Bowl against Illinois were amazing. Then regular season games like UGA in 03, home games against Moo State & Tenn in 00 or 2001 we’re simply awesome! Fun times indeed.

That is correct. Bill arnsparger was a successful NFL coach before and after LSU. most kids here prolly know nothing about his NFL defenses.
