Hawthorne is pretty bad..."a play at the plate....Uh....Uh....well what happened there was...."
If any of you have XM, listen to other SEC teams broadcasts and you will see what other SEC schools have for radio guys. It makes Hawthorne sound like a JR High Dad calling numbers at a Jamboree game.

On wwl's website they claim you can hit a button and delay it to match TV> Ive never tried it, tho

I know XM radio opened my eyes to this. Hawthorne is awful by comparison.
Now cue all the people who say "But he's such a Tiger fan LOLZ!!"

Hawthorne definitely has the better quality voice for radio...sings well also. Heard him sing "God Bless The USA" at halftime one year. Don't really care about the stupid little tongue slips from time to time. He's not exactly reading from a teleprompter like our President always does. Didn't help him the other day to pronounce "navy corpsman"!

can anyone shed some light on this? i feel like i haven't been able to successfully watch a saints game while listening to WWL (or WJBO) since I was little.
