Which is why I'd want to see the RB breakout. Obviously Daniels makes up most of that. But Denbrock is 2nd in the nation in YPC without Daniels this year

Leonard is a more run-focused QB than Daniels was and Denbrock is now running his preferred scheme- lots of 12 and 13 personnel and “balance,” but most of the passing focused on short routes.

The more I watch ND late in the season, the more I think Denbrock left to run this style of offense again, because that was never going to happen here. It’s exactly what he was doing at Cincy before coming to LSU.

The more things change the more they stay the same. Teams that can run the ball consistently and play strong defense go far in football.

Yards allowed per pass attempt 2023 - 8.1 (111th) 2024 - 7.8 (91st) Texas - 5.5 (1st) Ohio St. - 5.8 (2nd) Notre Dame - 5.8 (3rd) Penn St. - 6.3 (21st)

This is where we need to make vast improvements. Even a yard and a half gets us in the top 25. How many of these were third and long is whole other thing to address.
