and if les had his way about 6 weeks before that picture was taken and lloyd carr's faction hadn't derailed him, he would have been watching that game in his recliner in ann arbor ...

Well thank God that didnt happen because we would've probably lost.

Gen. Richard commented that LSU has "no talent" other than Taz and Johnson needs some time to get some talent in here.

I'm glad Gen. Richard is such an astute follower of basketball.

All I see is this

Who would replace Coach Miles and do a better job at recruiting and winning a National Championship for LSU?

I wonder sometimes if people's ego are bigger than their want for LSU to win and be successful....

i am sure bo pelini could have stepped in ... sad thing is, how many times in the history of college football has a HC pursued another job in the heat of a national championship season ??

The sad thing here is, is that LSU won the National Championship convincingly...Had they lost you would have had an arguement, but your whole point is based on hypothetical bullshite that never happened.

les miles didn't win the national championship .. the players won it .. only a small handful of which had even been recruited by miles at that time ... the players miles recruited are 17-9 over the last two seasons, 8-8 in the SEC and have only beaten one team that finished in the top 25 .. that being #25 Georgia Tech ..

how do you equate ego with someone seeing the obvious .. that the peter principle is playing itself out on the LSU sidelines ?

The point is that we almost didn't get there b/c of Miles pursuit of the Michigan opening.

LSU had finally gotten healthy and played an overmatched Ohio State team that had gotten destroyed the year before by Florida for the title ... had LSU managed to reach that game after leslie left, bo pelini and the rest of the staff would probably had the same result ..

He mentioned the old Alex Box will be completely torn down within a few months and they will make it a gravel lot and sell parking for the next 2 seasons. He said TAF only has a 2 year lease on that spot for parking and they are currently fighting w/ LSU to determine what will be there permanently. LSU wants to put a new rec center there. He said they'll probably fight over that spot for 5 years and then it will eventually be a permanent parking lot. He said they can sell the lot for motor home parking and make over $350,000 a year.

i can't remember the site (now a paid one, and it's not the Lair), but i was blacklisted and given a "bad" rating for implying LSU would make a parking lot out of the box, as to make $$$$$. As opposed to LSU's future plans for a facility. This was a few years ago...
I'd sure like to hear from that MF that told me otherwise and basically kicked me off the site. Here's to you....
