The forthcoming book, to be published in September, offers a detailed account of what it means to be a quarterback at various levels, from high school to college to the NFL, and what it's like for legends in retirement. It features unprecedented access with dozens of quarterbacks and generational greats such as John Elway, Johnny Unitas, Warren Moon, members of the Manning family and Steve Young, among others. It also includes current signal-callers such as Kirk Cousins and Drake Maye.
Additionally, there are new details inside the ruthless recruitment of Texas quarterback Arch Manning, and the youth quarterback circuit. It also chronicles LSU quarterback Colin Hurley's near-death car wreck in January and subsequent full recovery. Wickersham is an ESPN reporter; his first book on the New England Patriots was a New York Times bestseller.
The Caleb Williams/Bears story is the one everyone is talking about.

Wonder if we get the actual story or if it was run through the LSU censors like a wartime letter

I’m not sure if I was just absent on the rant at the wrong times, but I didn’t feel like I ever read the whole story on what really happened from the car wreck, all the way up to the last day of spring practice, where he was welcomed by the players like a brother.
It all seemed like there was speculation that he was at a party beforehand and that he was unresponsive at the wreck site.
But he was not positive for ETG/ETS or ethanol.
Then the recovery story was nebulous and I can respect that too.
Nothing wrong with it and I’m happy that he came back. For his development; I hate that he has to miss spring.
I have a pipe dream that he competes with Van Buren next year and and then somehow meets up with Michigan in the 2027 CFP and heroes out.
