Adam, what's the gameplan to keep up with Vanderbilt and its incredible class?

Is 2016 stacked for us

Stay in the opposite site of the division.

But in reality I see the '16 struggling at the beginning of the year as he finds a lineup he wants to use going forward with the team fighting for a regional host.

'17 is going to be as loaded as this team is from a draft standpoint.

I feel like a broken record but Arkansas, Florida, LSU, and Vanderbilt are continuing to out recruit the other SEC schools and all 4 will be in the position they are now moving forward.

It is. It'll be more top heavy like the class in '14.

Today's class is a depth filler with plenty of JUCO transfer to bridge gaps.

Obviously McKay is one of the top 5 high school arms in this class that is projected to forgo pro ball for now. Power arm who's 92-94mph with a good curve however he'll need to polish it (it's there but like Godfrey a year or two under Dunn and he'll get it over for strikeouts). He'll be an immediate impact guy to the rotation and/or bullpen...to be honest I didn't think he would end up a Tiger months ago.

Nick Bush is the next on my list, he's a crafty lefty who should see time as a situational guy in a deep pen. He can hit 88-89mph but works the ball around the zone well and rarely leaves the ball up.

Brennan Breaux another lefty doesn't have as powerful of an arm, needs to strengthen and work on his two seam. Actually is a very good athlete and it wouldn't shock me if Mainieri at least gives him a few swings in fall ball.

Caleb Gilbert is a righty out of Hoover with a projectable body, he may get a few innings next year. The JUCO I haven't gotten a good look at him as of yet.

All in all it's not a deep pitching class but it didn't need to be. The '16 class features 3 very highly thought of pitchers in Pint, Peterson, and Gettys who are already hitting the 90's as juniors in HS.

It was a courtesy draft so they could build a relationship with him for 2018.
