I would have expected Sevyn Banks & Bernard-Converse to be the guys based on experience. Definitely surprised to hear a transfer from McNeese St is in the mix, but good for him. No doubt that Frank recognized the talent while at McNeese.

Not necessarily 1st team over sevyn/garner, but he’ll play a lot.

Banks and Converse were both behind due to injury, but I expect them both to make a strong push as they get healthy. Good to hear that Richardson is taking advantage, though.

I suspect the actual starter will be Garner, but Richardson certainly seems like he is going to see playing time this year, which is a surprise. Will be big if we can limit the snaps of the transfers recovering from injuries without significant drop-off.

Banks just got fully cleared to do 7 on 7 or actual practice reps right? He'll likely hit his stride 1 month into the season, and will be huge if he can contribute when we get into the teeth of the sec schedule. Having converse, Gardner, banks, brooks, sage and Colby all healthy and full go by miss st and tenn will be huge. Both those teams spread it out and wear you down. We'll need all dbs on deck
