Similarly to how Woodward sought advisement on the Jay Johnson hiring, the decision makers (whoever that may be by the time we make this hire) need to seek the advice of former players and perhaps current coaches on who should be the next guy. Maybe a guy like Nick Saban would be willing to assist in getting the right guy at LSU.

I hope that all this work Frank is doing to bring former players in can lead to something like that. Frank Wilson, if he's not too prideful in terms of wanting the job himself, would be an ideal guy in helping select the next coach. This is how you ensure that the culture in the building does not get to the point where you're getting dog walked in the 2nd half against Texas A&M in Death Valley.

There's no reason our administration should have ignored how much Notre Dame fans, former coaches, and former players disliked Brian Kelly when making the hire. It was indicative of what was to come. Complete disconnection throughout the program.

We have done this before. When we hired Les we used a consulting firm to identify the best candidates.
