When was the last time LSU wasn’t ranked to begin a season?
Having expectations that the LSU football team will begin a season nationally ranked never seemed to be a problem before. Makes one wonder what has changed with LSU fans and the team.

If we aren't ranked, its because we haven't named a starting QB (or at least dont have the appearance of having one).
Had Burrow come in an lit it up from day one and been the clear cut starter heading into fall camp, there would be much more media hype.
With that said, I could literally careless as our schedule affords us the ability to to start the season unranked with "prove it" games against media darlings nearly every week of the season.
