They grew up this year in a hurry and can actually be one of the stronger parts of the team next year if they stay in school.

A new oline coach is a good starting point

I used to want Grimes gone, but minus attrition, I think he's done a pretty good job. What he did with this O-line was pretty impressive. But like the OP said, gotta keep them here

Yeah keep o-line but encourage Guice to go get his money...you people make no sense make up your damn mind on what's more important and stick with it for every player.

Me, too. I'd still be open to jettisoning him if a clearly better option was available, just based on his body of work with us to date.

I'll go one further - the job he did with the off-season attrition, the injuries we dealt with this year and getting the young players ready for the meat of the SEC schedule this year was beyond exemplary. It wasn't pretty in September, but this could have been a 6-6 season pretty easily once we dropped Troy - and it would have been mostly on the OL.

So, kudos to Grimes for doing (ultimately) a great job under conditions that would have wilted most of us.

(ETA: But we still have to get better at pass blocking.)

Exactly what I was thinking.

There's a group here that continue this they should def leave narrative I just don't get.
GTF over yourselves. Be a LSU FAN not a individual player's ball jiggler. It's like you think it makes you look cool or you think you're getting a commission.

Who knew we had so many humanitarians on this site.?

He might've done his best job this year.

He has produced 2 All Americans in the last 2 years in pocic and clapp

Why would we fire him?

Grimes did an excellent job this year. Worked in new pieces, navigated attrition and injuries, and the line generally got better as the year went on.

FUHR EVRHUBUDDY is a strategy that produces diminishing returns ... eventually you gotta go to work with who you have.

I think there is a difference between Guice going to the pros and the Oline attrition due to transfers we have seen. I don't see the conflict in statements.

Poster wants LSU to not lose so many Oline to transfer, ie attrition. Like the multitude we have lost the last year or so. They aren't leaving to go make millions of dollars.
