Comparing LSU to Clemson at the skill positions, it's interesting to note that only one 5 star guy made a big play for LSU. Terrace Marshal scored a TD.

Clemson has more 5 star guys at the skill positions with most notable being Lawrence who was the highest rated QB coming out in 2018 and he has a championship under his belt already.

Contrasting Clemson's 5 star guys vs LSU-

Clemson
Lawrence 5 star 234 pass yds and no touchdowns
Ross 5 star 5 rec for 76 yds
Higgins 5 star 3 rec for 52 yds

LSU
Burrow 3 star 463 pass yds and 5 td with 58 yard rushing
CEH 3 star 16 carries for 110
Moss 4 star 5 rec for 36 yds and 2 td
Chase 4 star 9 rec for 221 and 2 td
Jefferson 2 star 9 rec for 106

I'll add that CEH had both more yards rushing and receiving than Etienne who was received far more offers than CEH despite them both being 3 star guys.

4 star. Marshall was a 5 star, not Chase.

Yeah I watched Marshall’s announcement live. Very emotional, Christian young man.

Correct, Using Rivals, Marshall was 5 star. Chase a 4 star.

Clemson's offense was soft. Their QB had very "happy feet". He was not hit much, but was on his horse and ready to get rid of the ball quickly. Their O line was not stout at all. The RB was not a good blocker. They looked soft on O.

lawrence is a long way from the being the polished qb the Burrow is, and I've said that since well before the championship. Lawrence is raw, and everyone got to see it in the cship. Burrow is a very hard worker like we all know. We'll have to see if TL can be.
