Thank you TM. You said in short what I could not say in a long post. Just asking for objectivity here which is so hard to find.

It's as if people have never either played a game of one on one basketball or seen one. At some point, someone would have to play D or miss enough to win this game. Neither are known for doing any such thing.

In the open court, which is basically what you've have indefinitely with a one on one half court game, neither of these guys would have a chance of guarding the other. How would that play out? Would a 6'1" CJ chestguard a 6'5" Pistol with incredible handles? Useless. Pistol could drive at will and then post CJ up if he needed to. CJ could not prevent him from going over the top either because of the size difference. Likewise, there's no chance in hell Pistol would have had any chance of preventing a much quicker CJ from blazing past him with no help in the lane if he decided to come out and guard him tight. And if he he pulled back to prevent being driven on? Long range bombs after CJ went between his legs.

Would have been fun to watch...but anyone who thinks either one would have some huge advantage in a game with this much room to maneuver simply does not understand how the game is played.

CJ

There's always one in every crowd.

CJ was a baller, but not on the level of the Pistol. (But who was?)

There's never been a player that could beat Pete one on one! Abdul wouldn't stand a chance against Pete. And if you think otherwise then I know you never saw Pete in
Action I've seen both.

I would take Jordan over Pistol every day of the week in any 1 on 1 situation. The bigger the game the more clutch Jordan came up. He was versitale and played good defense as well.
