I think JJ will be a player. But as of now, Lee is the only QB on the roster to win on the road in the SEC and the only one who has led the team to a come from behind win.
he did put up 76 points in the three games he played in as a freshman...

Including an impressive 0 in the last 28 minutes of the Arkansas game.

well despite how poor the defensive play was in that game which many of you looking for an excuse to say why Lee is possibly a better option, JJ still didnt add insult to injury by giving up any costly turnovers. So blame the poor play of the defense that half on JJ, thats great logic. That game was rapped up and JJ shouldnt have needed to score any more, but the defense blew it.

Yeah--just think how bad LSU would've lost if JJ would have thrown oh--I don't know--three interceptions.
He led LSU to a 30 point outing on the road in an SEC matchup, while not committing one turnover.
Not bad for a true freshman.

ANY true frosh starting his first game ever and putting up 30 points, should get the win.
just saying...

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. Just throwing out a little fact.

imagine if the situations would have been in reverse, and it was JJ who threw 16 INT's, and who constantly played terrible last season...
he would be absolutely HATED by 90 percent of the fanbase, with racial slurs being spouted all the time.

But still Jefferson did enough to win that game, It was the defense that let us down and if any one is to blame it should be Alem for the Personal foul after we had stopped them deep in Arkansas territory and were about to get the ball back with a short field.

And I'm just saying that maybe our starting quarterback could use some support from the fans.
But you actually have people implying that JJ could have done more to win the game, even though he led the squad to 30 points of error-free football.
Bizarro world.

facts aren't important.

alem decided to kick the ball after a 3rd and long stop...
that was the deciding play of the game.
also, I think it was eugene who dropped a game ending INT

I give him (Jefferson) the edge because of the game he had, but Jarrett still wants to play quarterback. It's going to be a good competition.

We heard this same ploy when JR and MF was on campus. We all knew who the man was.
So true.
How soon they all forget.
Be careful with this argument, people will bring up how well if Flynn had played we wouldve probably won the national title in 06 too. and bla bla bla and well here at the end of this season if we only lose like two games to UGA and Ole miss, BT will be in here going if only we had played Lee, cause we needed him, and so on.

its normal to expect a true fresh QB to put up 50+ points in his first start, apparently.

If JJ can actually get picked apart for the Arkansas game, I would literally be afraid to read most of the posts on this board if he even laced up his shoes wrong.
