Sure, if he shows up well in the fall. Miles has GOT to be looking for an answer.

Yeah right. The fifth starting quarterback in five years.

Just what this program needs.

No another year of a QB that looks totally lost on the field is what we need.

What do you honestly think our record will be with JJ. I say 8-4 maybe 7-5. If this is going to be our record, I say give CG or anyone else an opportunity

Same crap like have a 135 QB rating and completing 61% of his passes?

Yeah...that would be a TRAVESTY!

more like 112th ranked offense

He reminds me of a basketball player. Padding comp % stats by throwning behind the LOS

Perhaps your view was a tab better than his or did you have 300lb DL, LB's, and the like chasing you while you were watching the play develop from your seat?

Personally, I don't give a flip over who our QB ends up being, but I'm not wild bout the idea of seeing LSU face another SEC season with ANOTHER cherry LSU QB.

So the rushing game which was anemic this season had nothing to do with this?

Yeah im sure he called all those plays so he could help his stats. That makes a bunch of sense

Im on board with the 3rd year in row with a new starter, obv that isnt ideal, however JJ hasnt showed me anything that makes me put a whole lot of confindence in other than the fact that he has started a bunch of games.

Who do you think will beat us next season? or is 7-5 just an arbitrary number you just threw out there?

Giving a RS freshman the starting job with an SEC schedule is LUNACY! Obviously you dont understand that QBs dont just get into this league and become badass all of a sudden. Even the great Tim Tebow had to have a couple of years to develop before he started.

I don't put the blame totally on him, but he is the QB. People on here sure blamed JL for bad decisions last year but make all excuses for JJ. All I see is he looks confused and doesn't know what to do on the field in pressure situations. He doesnt' even want the ball.

I believe the competition should be open. If JJ is truly the best we have then he should start, If someone else is better they should start. I don't think we should give JJ the starting job because he is more experienced. Especially if he is going to look lost on the field.

Yes i think if we have the worst offence in the south eastern conference, but have experienced qb ... why change anything...were doing just fine

Ok. Then we should give the ball to the guy who understands the system more so he doesnt look "lost". Thats how we landed on C Garrett...a guy with less than a year to learn the offense...sure thats absolutely air-tight logic.

We didnt have an experienced QB last season. And again you leave out the fact that our rushing game was anemic.

Who ever is the best QB on the field, play them.

I am not giving up on J. Lee yet either. Lee got thrown to the lions in 2008. He is old and maybe better now. The guy played a shot-gun spread in the Texas high school system and was a highly rated recruit.

Where JJ avoids mistakes at all costs, J. Lee has shown that he takes a chance. Sometimes risks have to be taken to open up the opposition's defense.

If you read my response, I said we should start whomever is better in the spring and fall. JJ should not get the benefit of the doubt because he his older.

If we are going to lose games, I would rather our QB out there understanding the game situations. Not wanting to spike the ball with 1 second left or letting 13 seconds run off the clock before snapping the ball after the penn st penalty. A QB understanding the situation would have had the offense lined up and ready to snap the ball as soon as the ball was spotted. not pointing to the ground 3-4 times.

You misunderstand.
I mean Im on board with the thought pattern of having that is not a good thing.
Reading COMPREHENSION... its taught in grade school.
FWIW, I can see where that reads funny though.

No he will not start. Sadly enough are best QB is JJ, even Les isnt stupid enough not to play our best option at QB
