he's already the co-host on SNF - can't climb much higher in teh profession

And being a prick at times is probably part of the job when you want to entertain

FWIW I thought he was fair overall - and gave credit to Flynn when he played well
dont let the fact that this is all correct, get in the way of rantards and their bitching and moaning fest.

yall are ridiculous. he was a big meanie to a former LSU guy and didnt suck him off the whole time

i have a brain and know football. i dont want/need a talking head to tell me whats going on- i can see whats happening. CC accurately dissected the game. end of story. yall take it sooo personally like flynn is your child or something. he praised flynn often, and rightfully so. he mentioned when flynn made mistakes.

No dumbass, your post was never dead on. You were saying Cris was picking on poor old matt because matt went to LSU and cris went to Florida. I mean stop and think how fricking stupid that sounds out loud for a second.

I didn't really like his tone either.
"Matt flynn doesn't know any better, he's just out there playing"

Dip wad...I realize that. It was part Rantard sacrasm and part genuine. If you watch and listen to the whole of the game, you will see my point. it was dead fricken on early in the game, and despite some improved rhetoric as the game progressed, he still made subtle and outright statements throughout the game that were out of line considering a QB making his first start ever on the road on national tv at New England.

When Matt made a good throw, he immediately credited the Packers offensive coordinator for play selection with no mention of the throw itself. When Matt got sacked, he immediately fussed that he took too long to make a decision despite the fact that Tom Brady would have gotten sacked, and did last night, for the same blown blocking and pass protection scenario.

Granted, he is supposed to be critical, so I have no issues with some of his comments, but on balance, expecially early in the game, he seemed to go out of his way to minimize credit and mazimize criticism for Matt. Go re-watch the game and then come back and see if you can find agreement with his lack of fairness.

So you think he has some axe to grind with Flynn?

the packers needed the game much, much more than the pats did. Cris was simply pointing out when your margin for error is so thin you can't afford ____ to happen. He reamed on the packers who dropped ints or flynn passes as well. He wasn't going out of his way to bash matt and he doesn't owe it to him to be super nice because it's his first start. He was calling the game as he saw fit. Flynn is a professional I promise his feelings weren't hurt.

Chris Collinsworth's commentating in general is very lifeless and dull. He just seems out of place in the booth.
