I would be satisfied with a 10-2 regular season in 2010
Bama and Ole Miss (maybe).

There is another scenario: we fire Miles and hire an dumb arse and stay down for the foreseable future. Just because we hire a new coach, that doesn't guarantee our rise to the promise land of college football.

Look at Lane Tiffin; is anyone impressed with him? The vols made the change and I think they hired the wrong man. What do they do now?

Paul, if we make no change, then you cant expect anything more then what you have seen the last two years.

You keep doing the same thing over, but expect a different result. That is insane

you're rolling the dice though on that being best for the program...there's really know way of knowing what kind of damage will be done, who the replacements will be, etc.

Nothing overly terrible about a 9 win season.

A 9-win season is not a success for a program with the massive advantage and resources LSU has available to it...

Why? That's just not true. True fans seek excellence and status for their alma mater. Choice A puts LSU in a situation, not of just complete mediocrity, but of no significant accomplishment ever...for the next decade or 2. I mean...Choice B made us the program we are today (er...were 2 years ago). What if we hadn't fired Dinardo? Would you be on Tigerdroppings? Would there be a Tigerdroppings?

that is why i would choose B. but then again, i see drizztiger's point of view.

what if one of our first 4 choices after Dinardo would've taken the job? as far as Tigerdroppings is concerned, the program has always had, and will always have, passionate fans.

I was a diehard long before Saban and will be long after Miles. I was on geaux.com in 97, Tiger Roar till 02 and TD ever since. I plan on being on TelepathicTiger in 2025, the good lord willing. It isn't possible for the program to become shitty enough to run me off.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I can respect your opinion and I share the sentiment contained in the latter portion of your above-post.

Wow...who'd have thought that the ultimate difference between Miles Apologists and NegaTigers/Pragmatigers is how each respective party would handle a retirement account.

I chose B FWIW. I love LSU and want the best for the program long term. I don't think we are going anywhere with Les, and what irks me more is the amount of talent that we are squandering with mediocre seasons.

I like C as well..............but a 14-0 LSU team in 2010 would be a nightmare for the negatigers who think Les couldn't possibly keep the Tigers at that level in 2011 or beyond..........Les would surely slip up again...............Repeatedly climbing off and on the bandwagon burns more brain cells than it does calories.

B. I think Miles is making us a mediocre program. We can get someone out there that's a hell of a lot better than him
