Cut block, not chop block. Painful, both to the player's body and his season, but not illegal.
I heard torn ACL, out for season, but I think I heard that here, so who knows how reliable.

a sprain indicates ligament involvement, from a stretch, to a slight tear, to a complete tear.
So sprain is accurate, but seems like it was a tear that will need surgery merely from the way the program is talking about it.

Not saying his ACL isn't torn, but I certainly don't consider it even close to credible at this point.
Accurate information later is better than incorrect or assumed information earlier.
