I think USC has a better record, more BCS wins, same amount of titles, more heisman winners, more all-americans, etc. Think of it this way, we like to bash USC for being in the Pac-10, but what would we be saying if LSU were in the Pac-10?

USC deserves to be on there. They have 2 national titles like us whether we like it or not and have won more BCS games than us.
Florida and us on the other hand are very debatable. Florida is just the sexier choice right now being they are just coming off a NC.

Polls like this are nothing more than message board fodder. (As this thread is proving.)
USC, Florida and LSU have all had a great decade, giving their fans lots of excitement and all 3 have been fun to watch. Why not just let it go at that and enjoy it as is?
It realy amazes me at times to see how far out of their way some people will go to find something to annoy them.

Sportscenter now in LA....it's going to get a lot worse than poll questions. Everyone should just get over it/prepare for the massive USC coverage come football season.

All are pretty comparable. USC deserves to be on there. But if it's pure Xs and Os, LSU deserves to be up there before Florida

Louisiana gave USC the lowest percentage of all 50 states.

still want to know how people hold last year against us when they give usc a pass for a losing season in this decade.
If they gave UNC a pass for their 8-20 season in 01-02, then they probably would let USC slide as well

quote:LSU screwed the pooch last year, destroying any credible gains we had made over the last 5 years in consideration of being the program of the decade. Now we have to get back to the business of restoring our credibility again. The margin of error is slim, when you are from a southern school that doesn't get a lot of media attention to begin with. USC gets a lot of media attention, they are in a weak conference and they have a charismatic coach, so they don't have to try as hard.

AGree with the first part, alhtough UF is a southern school. Not the second. USC has yto try just as hard. Had they had a seaon like last year, plus a 3 loss season and bowl loss in 2004, then they woudl not be in the poll either.
Regarding the PAC-10- not as strong as the SEC, bot not as weak as LSU fans woudl think. Last year was not good during the regular season, but they had a stellar bowl record. And let's not forget, that this "weak" conference has a winning record against the toughest conference in the land this decade.

Don't forget USC's NC in 2003 when they played in the BCS championship game called the Rose Bowl against Michigan.

I suppose Michigan would have been NC's if they would have won the game.

Idiots.
