his defense and rebounding was solid. he genuinely hustled out there tonight, which is more than i can say for a large chunk of games he's had in his career.

i think the size and physicality of charleston southern's big men were causing him problems. schematically wise it kind of disrupted a lot of what we were trying to do with him and dc getting the ball at the nail. off ball cuts weren't working because their bigs were staying dropped. that's why you saw it switch to high ball screens from the big into on ball drives in the second half. sears has shown his ability to drive to the basket tonight and against alabama state. it was a huge reason we didn't take the L in either one of those games
