I was 9 years old and because of the Air Force we were living in Omaha at the time. I sure wanted "Louisiana" to win that game bad!


I did too. A bunch of my friends were going to a movie and wanted me to go with them. No way, I wanted to stay home and watch LSU in the Orange Bowl. Back then, there were only a few bowls so being in a bowl game was a big deal. Huge!

We were not in the same league with those guys. It was brutal. Hated Nebraska ever since.
