Everyone has based so much on this one game...still think it is too early to determine the future of both teams. Remember last season? We lost to a depleted Ole Miss team and almost lost to Arkansas! If you based the season on those two games, season was disaster, yet we won 10 games in the season. Let's wait to see what happens 2,3,4 weeks from now.

They also out-talented us on the lines and at QB, the two most important positions

that reflects out-schemed and out-coached. they spread out our defense so they could run the ball more easily than our clumped up offense. there is a difference between blocking 4-5 in a box compared to 8-9 in the box. if we ran the same exact offense as MSU, we would have the same results. Miles is too stubborn for that though #b1g4lyfe

What do you feel is the reason that they were so much better than us on that night?

we couldn't stop the run....they could. everything is based on being able to run the ball.

I would love to say that Miss State is just really good and likely to g0 11-1 and win the west. but I honestly don't see that. I expect State's pass defense to be exploited and for them to finish 8-4, maybe 9-3. I am not trying to be gloomy, but I just don't see it.

They MIGHT be better than Arkansas and Ole Miss. I could see them losing both those games as well. There are 3 other SEC West teams that are undoubtedly better than them in Alabama, Auburn, and A&M. At the very best they are 4th in the West.

they'll probably lose more games than LSU

i agree with this.

it's msu for goodness sake. they are not good. at all. ever. The entire athletic program is (should be) below LSU

you just don't lose to msu. period. It doesn't even matter if it's coaching or players (which, frankly, they're performance is still largely related to coaching).

You just don't lose to them. And on the once in a couple of decades where we do lose, you sure a shite don't do it like what happened saturday

Other teams will actually attempt to take advantage of their weaknesses on defense.

Bama and Cooper will destroy them, aTm will have 500yds passing but Ole Piss will struggle.

You wrote this as though it would pain us to admit that they were good. That would make me feel better. I think they're mediocre, and I imagine that quite a few of you are going to feel worse about this beatdown after they start dropping games.

They will e 8-4, at best. Probably 7-5.

Before I saw TAMU, I thought State would be 9-3 with losses to us, Bama, and Auburn. Now I still think 9-3, but the will lose to TAMU. They beat Ole Miss IMO.
