Personally I like a defensive battle but we’re consistently seeing 100+ point total games with 500-700+ total offensive games.

There was a time when this was true but not in 2020

You can't win a game if you can't stop/slow down their point total.

LSU's defense had a lot to do with our Natty win.

Our offense couldn’t be stopped. Are you kidding? The defense created blowouts but the offense won us the game. We scored on almost every drive in some games if you look back

the last year in cfb that "defense wins championships" was like 2012 or 2013, maybe even earlier than that

it is a completely different game now.

in 5 years, it will be unheard of for a team to shut out another team, even a creampuff.

a good d would be one that allows 25 ppg.

It is true, just look what Ole Miss did to Alabama.

I thought it was put to rest last year. The defense didn’t start playing until the back end of the season. Burrow carried that team

If in 3 games we stop two plays where the RB takes a pass at normal LB depth and then runs all the way for a TD or a wide open WR, and I do mean wide open, walks into the endzone uncontested we are undefeated.

By my count there is 5 of those. 5 plays that should not happen. If we stop 2 of them we are undefeated.

If we don't let any of the 5 happen we are probably top-5.

You don't have to have an elite D to win a championship... on that you are correct. We seen it.

But you have to have a semblance of one where freshmen QBs aren't having their breakout game and SEC records aren't being set against us to win games.

Have you watched this season? Offense is good, defense is a joke. How's that working out for us??
