I really do believe LSU and Alabama will out muscle Ole Miss. I don't see them losing another game though.

I see Tennessee beating Ole Miss too. Everybody I know says, "pffffft, Tennessee...they suck!"

You watch UT this year - new coach, new attitude, hungry fanbase...kind of reminds me of LSU in 2000. I'm glad we don't play them this year. But, I think Tennessee will drop Ole Miss for sure. And Bama. And LSU (revenge factor).

It's the same song and dance every year. A team gets high preseason ratings, they appear on the cover of S.I., and ESPN has four 30 minute segments on how great they will be on College Football Live - and all the "sports experts" of the world take that and start believing it. And then the SEC part of the schedule happens and guess what, they really weren't that good after all!

Vandy has won 3 out of the last 4. I'd hardly say thats a sure win.

And we're seeing the strongest Vandy football program in decades. I still give the edge to Ole Miss, pre-season, but I agree with you that to call it a "sure win" for the Rebels is overconfidence. Just like calling Arkansas a"sure win" for LSU is overconfidence.

Paul, I'm just the opposite - I want to draw Tennessee in the SEC-CG, and beat them by 21. In one fell swoop, we avoid playing Florida twice, shut Kiffin/Orgeron and Co. up, and go to a BCS bowl.

They play 10 weeks in a row with questionable depth is the only thing that will get them. Also how can the handle success. Winning is a new thing to them and players need to know how to win.

They will win this year. They have the schedule. They have a top notch QB. This will be Nutts most successful year in Oxford for quite awhile. It's after this year that the drop off begins. They will not be a consistent threat under Nutt for titles but they will always be a pain in the rear.

No -- and cannot wait for 2013 [assuming we survive 12.21.12]. That will be the 50th Anniversary of Ole Piss' last SEC football championship. Since it's an odd numbered year, the game will be at their place. I think the Rant should take out a full page ad in the Oxford paper where all LSU fans congratulate and commemorate Ole Miss on the 50th Anniversary of their last SEC FB championship -- and then at the bottom of the ad, list out all the years that LSU has won both conference and national championships since. I think the Oxford paper would print it, but we would need for Kige to have sex with the skank in the ads department so she'll print it.
