Disagree - Bama has comparable talent/speed and they obviously have no clue with what to do with Manziel even though they had an entire season to plan.
Chief has some faults - chief of which is end of half/game "prevent." Too many teams score on their last possession.

Bama had real big LBers and while outstanding overall, they did not come close to the outside speed of Mingo and Montgomery, which played huge in containing and catching Manzeil.
Both strong D's, but matchup wise, LSU had a much better group to contain JFF.

Only Mingo was exceptionally fast - not Sam. Bama's athleticism is comparable to ours. The only other player on D that we've had in the last two seasons was Ron Brooks. Other than those our team speed isn't better than Bama's even at LB. (compare Combine times).
