People were glad Mett got hurt to see Jennings. Now they want the next guy. We have the worst fan base of any sport.

You can't let what you see from a few posters on here get you down...they might be 11 yrs old or Arkansas fans just trying to get under someone's skin.

It's Jennings to lose.

A couple more games like yesterday and fans will be screaming for another QB to get his chance.

During warm-ups before the game, I was impressed with Rettig's throwing. He has improved greatly since September. His throws were different than the other the other 4 QB's that were warming up. His ball trajectory is similar to Mett's and it is the same trajectory that QB's go to George Whitfield to develop. After half time, all the other QB's including Mett were throwing on the sideline. Rettig didn't have the same zip as Mett but his throwing motion and release are similar to Mett's. I believe that Cam will have a lot to say about the starter and Rettig has the best throwing motion of the QB's on the roster this year and next.

Mett was awesome with his big arm and 4 years of development in Cam's offense.

Mett was in Cam's offense for 4 years?

Rettig can move to. He has good pocket awareness and throwing ability. My ONLY ONLY knock on Rettig is his maturity. I know the guy and he's a little immature to look towards being you're leader in the huddle. With another leader on the offensive side of the ball I like Rettig. Hopefully this year has done him good and he starts to step into that role because he has a good football IQ and the athleticism is there.

It's going to be a good competition between 3 or 4 guys. You have to like Jennings' chances still.

I completely agree with you. Based on most of these idiotic comments, people want to go ahead and annoint Jennings as the starter for next year with no possibility that someone could be a better QB. With all of their wisdom, they should know who is going to stay and go ahead and name the starters now.

You guys who were predicting a Hiesman, after the one play in the Arkansas game, are just butt hurt because he looked exactly like several had predicted. He's a Freshman, he played like a Freshman. Given Miles history of developing quarterbacks, he may always play like a Freshman.

I wish him success, but we have Bolton, Rivers, and Rettig, all were highly rated recruits. If that is the best we have, then it appears Miles has neither the ability to master time clocks nor the ability to develop quarterbacks.

I don't care who the QB is as long as he's competent.

Somehow I get the feeling we may end up seeing two QB's playing next year. Jennings may grow into the guy yet, who knows...

A lot of time between now and 1st game. I just hope they make the choice very very hard for the coaches!

I do to, and hope the coaches are honest about it.

One reason Jennings was overhyped as a frosh is statements by the staff. We were told he could make every throw Mett could make, and that's obviously not true.
